nine weeks & 67 people

Had a fun play date at the park this morning with some dear girlfriends and their kiddos... and may have cried a few tears on the way home! You see, I realized that in NINE short weeks we are leaving the country... leaving everything we know, all of our comforts, and saying 'see you later' to those we love SO dearly!

It's not the THINGS that move us to tears... it's not selling our home that we love... it's not seeing our children's dressers, beds, strollers, and much more walk out the door.. in fact, it's been freeing to let these things go and brought us to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ for ALL our needs!

It's the RELATIONSHIPS that are hard to walk away from... we know we can stay in touch, we'll have internet, skype, and this here blog... but seeing your faces means SO much more... each time I see friends and family I hug them a little tighter, hold them a little longer, and don't want to say goodbye...

So, what's to come in nine weeks? Here's a brief rundown:

As of now, we are planning on leaving for Guatemala the weekend of 6/23...

So, here's the deal... we're just going to get real with all of you... at the risk of losing some blog readers and maybe even some friends... we need your help! We can't leave until we are 75% funded... and God's saying go.... so, we're relying on YOUR support!

We need SIXTY-SEVEN people to step up and commit to $30 per month to support our ministry. What can YOU give up to help send us?

If you don't feel led to give or are unable to do so, would you help us by spreading the word and by praying for us?

"Therefore GO and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." Matthew 28:19

And thank you to all of you who have so graciously offered your time, invited us to speak to those you do life with, encouraged us, and given financially... you are TRULY our PARTNERS in ministry and we look forward to the relationships that are made through this journey!

Love in Christ,
Christi

  1. Tears, sweet Christi! I am in awe of the way He is leveling the mountains! In prayer for you guys... for your hearts as you leave everything familiar and those you love... for your sweet kiddos as they transition... for strength and peace as you try to accomplish SO much in such a little time... for your financial support! Confident that God will continue to supply for ALL your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus!!!
